Kindle Books & Paperback Books

Erika Hoffman has compiled her essays on writing into a book called Erika's Take on Writing!  She also has published two children's books: The Company You Keep ; Altie: The Sea Pal on Kindle. In addition, her books on Cuba are published by Kindle:  Welcome to Cuba: Get in Line  and Welcome to Koobah: What the C.U.C. ?  Erika's Take on Writing-Take 2 with more of her essays was published in 2020. And, her book on travel, Erika's Take on Travel, came out in 2019.
In addition, Erika has published her published nonfiction narratives in three collections: My Sassy Life; More Sassy Stories, Book 2; More Sassy Stories , Book 3.

This book, Erika's Take on Writing, is mostly a compilation of published columns Erika Hoffman has written monthly for the ezine Page & Spine.  In addition, the reader will find essays she's had featured in other magazines and anthologies.  The articles tell how she finds ideas for pieces: non-fiction narratives and personal essays.  Many are humorous, insightful, and inspiring.  Non-writers will enjoy them as well as aspiring writers.  Erika teaches a course at Olli (continuing education - lifetime learning) at Duke University on writing the personal essay. Formerly, she taught high school English.

The paperback version of this book is the same as the kindle version but contains four additional essays.

This book, My Sassy Life, compiles many stories which have been previously published in magazines or anthologies. Some are funny; some are poignant; all are relatable. Most of the narratives are 500 to 1,000 words in length. the book contains 60 stories. It too can be purchased through Amazon. A second Sassy book is out.
